Moana Jr. is a Disney musical celebrating the Polynesian culture. This youth musical theater camp for 5th-10th grades will explore this culture through music, dance, and story. The camp will begin June 21, will meet in the afternoon and evenings taking place Jasper, MN. Performance dates are July 23-25 and will be at the Hiawatha Pageant Park in Pipestone. Cost is $75 which covers participation, a script, practice CD and t-shirt. Participants will prepare for auditions, learn theatre foundations along with healthy singing and movement. There will also be opportunity to learn ukulele, Polynesian dancing, and drumming. This project is also partnering with the "We Are Water" touring exhibit and will serve as a foundation for mentoring about the environment.
