Arts & Mentoring Project is excited to announce the 2nd annual production of Scrooge the musical! We invite you to be a part of the AMP community. Participating in an AMP production means you’re seeking out a regional theater experience with the goal of building community through collaboration and elevated live theater.

Performance dates are December 14th, 15th, 16th & 17th at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center.

Auditions are 12:00pm - 8:00pm Saturday, October 7th and 12:00pm-4:00pm Sunday, October 8th at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center. Auditions are scheduled online by clicking the "Audition Sign Up" button below. You may also schedule an audition time by calling our Stage Manager Haide at 507-215-5015 or emailing HaideStage@gmail.com. Auditions will last approximately 20 minutes and will include vocalizing, singing a short piece from the musical, and a reading from the script. Adults, school age children, and families of the surrounding communities are invited to audition for the ensemble and roles. Audition materials, character names, and a preliminary schedule are found here on this page.  If callbacks are needed, they will be held the following week. If you are unable to attend either of the audition days, please contact Haide to schedule an alternate time.

Rehearsals begin the third week of October and will typically be Tuesday through Sunday with solos & small groups scheduled as we go. All rehearsals will take place at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center with the exception of a few music rehearsals at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Creative leadership for this production is Brenna Jones, Stage Director and Reggie Gorter, Music Director.

There are many ways to join this fun experience without being on stage! We are looking to fill these positions:

Prop Master, Costumer, Set Builder, Choreographer

Rehearsal Accompanist, Backstage Crew

Orchestra Musicians, Orchestra Director, Bell Choir

Small Group Christmas Band, Ushers

Join us this holiday season for a musical twist on the classic Dickens tale, A Christms Carol. Don't be a Scrooge!

About the Director Brenna Jones

Brenna is a Pipestone Area graduate, but now lives in San Jose, California with her husband, Erik.

Brenna received BA’s in Theatre and History from the University of Minnesota, Morris. After graduation she helped found The Flower Shop
Project theatre company, serving as its Executive Director. The company produced works from a wide range of genres, all while highlighting the talents Minnesota writers and actors. Brenna has broad and varied experiences in all aspects of the theatre arts, including directing, acting, playwriting and tech.  She has always worked on a diverse range of projects, such as guest directing for the University of Minnesota's production of Suessical and directing her parents in the Calumet Players musicals I Do! I Do! and Mary Poppins. Brenna has also had many writing, acting, and directing credits over the years.  Although directing has long been her passion, she has worn many hats--from starring roles and bit parts to playwriting, set and prop building, and everything else in between.
